2 Bedroom Cottage in Sloans Valley, Burnside

Our third house we chose to add to Lake Vista Properties. Jack is one of two side by side cottages located in the old tourist spot known as Villager Resort. This space was in desperate need of a makeover! With the beautiful Lake Cumberland right at your fingertips, private dock access, and a coin operated tram that can take you and all of your belongings down to the dock, we wanted to undergo a total remodel of the cottage. And, Burnside Marina is only 2 miles away and General Burnside Island boat ramp is 3.5 miles away!
Jack, with a classic all American boy theme, is right next to Diane, in an eclectic bohemian theme, so they are perfect for hosting large groups, separate but together!
Jack has an assortment of flea market finds scattered about the space. We focused the decor with the all American boy in mind regardless of the state the were from. A handmade farmhouse style table that can comfortably seat 6, or more, sets in the open space in front of some windows. Cedar accents are located in the bathroom which carries a great smell in a small space. There is a bunk room that houses a twin bunk and a twin over full bunk. The other bedroom has a king bed. For your personal convenience we chose to place a washer/dryer in the cottage for you to use.
Obviously my husband loves this space, but so do my girls!
The cottage is privately owned by us but housed in an HOA community.There is plenty of parking available as well as space to take a walk. The property also has a pool, tennis court, picnic area, bagged ice for purchase on site, fishing and swimming is allowed off the dock, and a charcoal grill that is available to you during your stay.
Be sure to bring your own recreational towels, lifejackets, fishing gear, floats ect.

Summary: Great experience. Home was very comfortable. Kitchen well stocked & a ton of bath towels! Friendly & timely communication. If there’s ever an option for a pontoon rental to be part of the the daily rate, we’d love to spend the whole week.

Summary: Everything at this location was just as expected. Summer was super helpful and very good at communicating even when we arrived kind of late. If ever visiting the area again, would definitely stay here again and recommend to others as well!

Summary: Very clean and organized. We appreciated the little touches like the hand soap pumps at both sinks and brochures for nearby attractions. We also appreciated the bunk beds for our children. It is hard to find a reasonably priced place that accommodates our family of seven. This house was just right for a couple of nights. We did not have much of chance to explore the lake, but look forward to coming back for that!
